Working as a personal trainer in Cardiff

Cardiff is the capital of Wales, with Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University and a busy city centre and bay. Its large population of students, young professionals and families makes it one of the best places in Wales to work as a personal trainer.

The city has a big gym scene, from a city-centre chain to strength and performance gyms in Canton, Grangetown and the industrial estates. Price guides put personal training in Cardiff at around £40 a session, and many trainers start with gym-floor shifts while their client list grows.

Penarth, Barry, Caerphilly and Newport are all within easy reach, so you can take on clients across south Wales, train people outdoors, or add online coaching alongside your sessions.
